Almost Done!

Well I have just one more class left of my junior year... then finals begin. I can't believe how quickly times flies by! I feel like I just moved in to my dorm the other day!! Also, y younger sister just turned 18 yesterday.... It's hard to believe she's a legal "adult." It makes me feel old. hahaha
I had a job interview this past week for a summer job here on campus.. I hope I get it. It went pretty well, as well as it could have I guess. hahaha

Just 2 more weeks!

Just two more weeks til the semester is over! It's hard to believe! I'm so excited for summer.... I have a job interview for a summer job in the development office here on campus. I really hope that I get it. That means that I can live on campus for the summer, which is what I really want to do.

This past weekend was really great. I went to Springfest and then to Lock-In. I hung out with some girls from dance team on Saturday night and then on Sunday I went to a Save Darfur Rally. It was against genocide. The rally was good, very moving. There were a bunch of people that have survived genocide in places like Rwanda and Darfur.. Here are a few pictures from the rally..

Now it's the last week of classes... then finals.... ahhh!

Back Into the Swing of Things

Wellll today was the first day back from Easter Break. It was pretty good, except for it felt weird cause we were on a Monday schedule although it's Tuesday.
Anyways break was good... I got some work done, sort of. haha... Easter was really nice. I got to spend the day with my family so that was great. I also shot a rifle for the very first time!! My friends dad taught me how. I was aiming at a yogurt cup that was about 30 yards away and I shot it, so that was very exciting!! hahahaha. It was definitly something that I don't do everyday.
I can't believe that there are only a few weeks left of school, this year has flown by! I can't wait for summertime and warm weather :)

Almost Easter Break! :)

So right after this class my Easter Break will start! I'm very excited to go home, but unfortunately I will have work to do.. surprise, surprise. haha It will be nice to just have a little break before I come back and have finals to deal with... ahhhhh

Hi!

Hey again everyone! Well another week has started and I wish it was already the weekend....again. hahahah... This weekend was great. A friend from home came to visit and we went to Georgetown on Friday night. On Saturday it was Special Olympics. Every year for dance team we perform and help out. It's so much fun and everyone has a great time. It's definitly one of my favorite events of the year.
Unfortunately, we were having a team meeting and missed our performance time. But, luckily, we got to perform at another time during the day instead, so it all worked out. :)
So far this week has been alright... didn't feel too well today though, so I skipped class, it was nice. I slept. hahahahha.. Hopefully I'll feel better soon! Later!

Haven't blogged in a while..

Well it's been a while since I last blogged.... the past few weeks have been good. Just getting through the semester.. this past weekend my mom and aunt came and saw me dance in the dance teams showcase. It was alot of fun :) I messed up a few times..but hopefully it went unnoticed. haha. After the showcase I went out to eat with my mom and aunt and a few friends, so that was really nice.

This weekend I just relaxed and hung out. This was one of the first weekends where I actually didn't have anything to do. So it was nice. Now, I'm looking forward to this weekend... and this week has barely even started.. hahaha..

Back To Classes Part II

Wellllll as I said before, I'm back to classes... Spring Break was great! It was started off with me and my friend Christine having a mini-road trip down to Richmond. I dropped her off there to meet a friend and then headed to Newport News, VA to visit my two best friends from home (Alex and Emily). They go to Christopher Newport University. Of course, since CNU is near the beach I figured it would be a little bit warmer.. but the first few days I was there it was FREEZING and raining.......but that didn't stop us from having fun!!

Friday night me and Alex went to her sorority sisters birthday party. It was so much fun! Her sisters are all really nice. Then the next night we went to a country western bar, it was called The Banque. I had never been to a bar like that before so I had no idea what to expect... but it was so much fun! I loved it! Just a warning.. if you don't like country music, don't go to a country western bar.. haha.. Anyways, we were there for a while and I line danced! It was really fun, a little confusing though.. haha, but I caught on eventually. Here are a few pictures from that night...

That was a really fun night! We had an awesome time! I had planned to leave that Sunday, but it SNOWED and the roads were pretty bad, so I stayed until Tuesday. It was really weird because apparently it had not snowed in Newport News for a few years... So I guess I brought the snow with me! hahaha... On Tuesday I headed home and spent the next few days of break there. It was good to be home and relax and eat real food. hahaha.. Then this past Sunday I came back to school.. That's about it for now! :)

Back To Classes...

Well it's the first week back after Spring Break.. I'm exhausted. I had an awesome break though! I visited my two best friends in Newport News, VA for a few days and then spent a few days at home.... more details later. :)

Well another week has started.... and it started right off with two midterms, in a row. Not fun. hahaha.. but they weren't as bad as I thought they would be... so I hope I did ok! I just have one more left, then all the midterms will be done. Hopefully this week will fly by so that on Friday I can go to Newport News, VA and visit my two best friends from high school. :) They both go to Christopher Newport University near VA Beach.. so hopefully it'll be a little bit warmer.. maybe? haha..

I just posted a new gadget.. it is the dachshund picture of the day. The reason for this is because I loooove dachshunds! I have a mini dachshund at home named Kiley, she is ADORABLE! :)

Sooo ready for Spring Break!

Not too much has happened since I last posted.. this past weekend I saw He's Just Not That Into You.. it was hilarous and sooo true! This week hasn't been too busy.. yet haha.. Tonight practice starts for the Dance Showcase that Dance Team is putting on next month. I'm in 3 different pieces.. and I'll be having practice tomorrow at 7:30 IN THE MORNING....yeah I'm not a morning person.. so we'll see how that goes. hahahaha.. I'm just ready for Spring Break so I can relax and do nothing :)

It was alot of fun! It was this past Saturday night. During the day there was a basketball game that I had to perform at, so it was a crazy, but fun, day. This year Snowball was at the Westin Hotel right next to PF Changs. It was really nice. There was a Belly Dancer and the food was pretty good. Me and my friends got there around 10 and stayed til the end. I was EXHAUSTED the next day and had ringing in my ears, because the music was SO incredibly loud. I know, I sound like an old woman. haha. I'm glad I went again this year and hopefully I'll get to go next year!

I found a Dress!

YAY! I found a dress tonight. Me and Karly went to Tysons and I found my dress at Forever 21. I feel so much better now... I was worried I wouldn't find one in time for Saturday. I also bought my ticket for Snowball today.. A Weekend of Visitors and Dresses :)

Wellll, I have had a lot of visitors this weekend. Last night my friend from home, Jerry, came and visited. It was alot of fun. We went out to this Restaurant/Bar called Stardust in Alexandria w/ my good friends Elle and Lauren. We just had some drinks and some food :) It was nice. After that we just hung out for a while and then Jerry headed home.

Today I had a game and performed for dance team. It was great, I did alot better than I did last time. I was happy cause my Mom got to see me perform. She doesn't get to come to too many of my games. My sister and her boyfriend were also there, so that was fun. Afterwards we wanted to go to dinner at PF Chang's.. I was reaaaaaaaaaaaalllly looking forward to it and we go in there and they say it's gonna be a 1 hour and 20 minute wait.... so we didn't eat there unfortunately. Instead we went to Chevy's in Ballston and I realized that when my actual meal came I wasn't hungry anymore, considering I had probably eaten 100 tons of chips and salsa beforehand haha.

Also while I was there I was running through the mall like a crazy lady trying to find a dress for Snowball. My original plan was to borrow a dress from my sister that she wore for her Homecoming this past year. That didn't exactly work out considering my sister is about a good 6 or 7 inches taller than me---I should have thought of that before planning on wearing her dress. It's so weird that my little sister is now taller than me haha.

Anyways, the dress definitly did not fit, hence the reason why I was running around the mall. It turned out I had no luck... sooo I looked on this website called gojane.com to look for some dresses because that is where my sister had originally gotten hers. Hey everyone,

So I haven't written in a while.. what have I been up to?

Well I went to the Inauguration.. it was craziness and so awesome.. I don't really know any other way to describe it. I'm just so happy that I got to be a huge part of hustory. There were so many people and although I couldn't get past the Washington Monument due to the crowds, it was still amazing. The energy in the crowd was something I had never experienced before, I'm glad that my best friend Elle encouraged me to go :) There's a picture of us in the top right corner in front of the monument w/all of our blankets and what not haha.

Basically, all I've been doing lately is dancing and schoooool.. I'm definitly ready for the weekend. My friend Jerry from home is visiting tonight and the tomorrow I have a game and my mom, sister, and my sister's boyfriend are going to come watch, so I'm excited for that. :) I'm trying to persuade my sister to come here next year.. so we'll see what happens!

Soooo I know I just posted a few mintues ago, but I was just looking through some old pictures of when my friend Clare and I went to Ocean City this past summer. I wanted to post a picture of the beach, just to remind myself of how warm it was.. considering it's still freezing here....

Well since I last wrote some exciting things have happened.
Last night was the first game of the semester for dance team. It was great performing at half time. We haven't had that much time to practice since we just had Winter Break, so we had to take some old choreography that we already knew and change it up a bit and put it to new music. We are working on something new right now for this weekend, which I'm really excited about, it's gonna be awesome.

Today I went to Tysons and finally got the Sperrys I wanted. I also saw Bobbi Brown, a famous makeup artist and I had my makeup done by a Chanel makeup artist, so that was fun. So far it's been a good weekend. I have the next few days off from school for MLK Jr. Day and the Inauguration. I might even go to the Inauguration.. we'll see if I'm brave enough. haha.

My First Blog

That's me!!

Alright, so this is my first blog.. I'm new at this, so we'll see how it goes.

Right now I'm going to school at Marymount University and I really enjoy it. I've started this blog for my Writing for the New Media class. I haven't kept a handwritten journal in a while and I used to keep an online journal in high school, but that kind of fizzled out over the years.
I am currently a junior and have been studying communications for the past three years. I really want to be a reporter or news anchor one day. It would also be really cool to write for a magazine or edit a magazine. I think that living so close to D.C. is a great opprotunity for that. The only thing that is not so good about living here at the moment is the COLD, it's freezing outside. I'm not a really big fan of the cold, which is why summer is my favorite season. It's not like I'm not used to cold though, especially growing up in Winchester, Virginia.

Well, I'm really not sure what else to write, so I guess I'll just stop here for now. :-)
